Aluminum Parts
We use 6061 and 7075 Aluminum for our sled parts. Both alloys have a proven track record in Alaska. We sell either the finished part or the raw material for you to build your own sled. We stock a wide range of 6061 Aluminum Angle in different widths (1¼” to 3”) and thicknesses (⅛” to ¼”).
We can provide whatever length you need.
Struts
Struts come in either 0.8” (22mm) or 1” (26mm) 6061 T6 Schedule 40 Pipe, ends have either ⅜” or ½” UHMW plugs. 17/64” bolt holes drilled ½” in from the ends unless other size is requested.

Brake bars
Brake Bars can be bent from either 6061 or 7075 Aluminum. The 7075 is a heavier duty bar meant for more rigorous applications. The 6061 is great for recreation and children’s sleds.
All brake bars come with an attached Arctic Bungee and a rubber stop on each side. Unless specified differently attachment holes are drilled ⅜”. We recommend using ⅜” hex bolts in either stainless steel or grade 8 as your brake pins.
